Fields and Forest Ultra-Trail Marathon is a 34 mile race taking in the beauty of Suffolk and Norfolk's trail forest and farmland. Open to 150 participants who would like to challenge themselves with this entry level ultra-trail marathon.

ENTRY COST

Early bird entry (ends 11 April 2024) £51 (UKA affiliated £49*)

Standard entry £57 (UKA affiliated £55*)

*UKA affiliated entries must quote UKA URN on entry

 

 

ROUTE

The course takes in the Beautiful West Suffolk countryside prior taking in the charm of the Norfolk woodlands which forms part of Thetford Forest at West Harling Woods before returning to the big skies and wide-open spaces of Suffolk.


This event is not an overly technical route and it will be well marked.

ENTRY DETAILS

Entry is via SiEntries. If you have not used SiEntries previously you will need to create an account with them before entering. Once you have entered and paid you will receive confirmation and other correspondence about the race via Si Entries. If you need to amend any details of your entry you can log into your account at any time and edit your entry. If you misplace any emails about the race you can go to message history and retrieve all emails there.

RACE NUMBERS

Participants are required to collect race number on the day at registration which opens at 0630am.


FIRST AID

First aiders will be present at the Start/Finish and along the course. If you’re in need of medical assistance, please alert the nearest marshal and prompt assistance will be provided.


FAMILY & FRIENDS

Supporters are more than welcome to this event. Please pass on the details from your final info email to any supporters coming along on the day so they can follow & support you safely.

MEDALS

There will be medals for all finishers

AID STATIONS

There will be aid stations along the route which supply refreshments. These will be at no more than 10k intervals.

TOILETS & CHANGING

Toilets are available at the Start/Finish area and along the route. There are limited changing facilities at the Start/Finish venue.

BAGGAGE

There will be a place to leave baggage at the Start/Finish venue

PARKING

Parking is a short walk from the venue but please car share where possible.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • Max entrants 150 participants

  • Minimum age 20 years old

  • The route is marked however we’re unable to marshal the whole course so there is the need to pay attention to your own navigation

  • This event will be crossing a few major roads so care will be needed by participants when crossing them

  • This is a very runnable route and can be achieved in 11 hours with the right level of fitness

  • We ask all participants to have run at least a half marathon in the year before entry

  • Although there is no cut off time, we do ask participants to let us know if they are struggling to make it to Thorpe Forest Holiday Park by 1330pm.
